English Translation


On My Way


On my way to Omezzine, heading to her address.
Fair she is, and her voice is full of tenderness.
Her gaze trying always to impress,
From her excess I can never heal.

On my way, to my maiden, to meet
A beauty on a majestic seat.

Even if I cannot go to her and my greetings to her reveal.

Silk, a Fatma's hand, and a mirror to put by her bed.
